Our Story Maple Sugaring at Toad Hill Maple Farm

The Galusha family has been producing some of the finest quality pure Adirondack maple syrup and other maple products at Toad Hill for over 45 years. Family owned and operated, we manage over 853 acres of Adirondack forest land located in the southeast Adirondack Lake George region.

The original farm, owned by our great-grandparents, comprised 80 acres of what was then an Adirondack subsistence farm.  While there is some evidence of maple sugaring done at the farm during those days, the current operation really started out as a hobby for the kids in the 1970’s and has since turned into one of the finest maple sugaring operations in the country.

We practice sustainable forestry under the guidance of a professional forester and employ all of the latest technology necessary to produce the highest quality products.  All while staying true to our roots and the traditions our ancestors followed to harvest nature’s bounty.
